Even though Kill Switch...Klick isn't an old school synthcore band yet, they've released enough material to predate the new school. On ALT. d.A. Sebasstian's vocals haven't changed much, adhering to a moderately processed, Chemlab-esque delivery, while his music is a guitar-free barrage of pit-provoking beats and rhythms. KsK's occasional use of non-Teutonic percussion adds the freshest elements to the mix, such as "Fascist Smashes'" tribal loop and the old school hip-hop drum programming on "Your Money, Your Pain". Speaking of hip-hop KsK adds a rapper to the laid back piano-tinged track called "Atrophy", as well as going cyberpunk funk-hop on my favorite cut, "Kontorted".
